School Of The Arts Singapore

Architects Wong Mun Summ and Richard Hassell of WOHA have envisioned a backdrop that represents the construct of a creative learning space, designed to reflect both the rich diversity of the arts and academic rigour in the teaching and learning in the School of the Arts.

They have effectively addressed the environmental challenges of setting an arts school in the city, the effective use of natural light and ventilation, and the intimacy of the private spaces for the arts.

WOHA’s design has also effectively balanced the need for security with the need for public access and community engagement, with careful thought given to how the building would relate to its immediate vicinity and the traffic flow for pedestrians and vehicles.
